CSET MS Subtest 2- how I passed

Hello fellow teachers!
I am writing tonight to report I finally passed CSET MS Subtest 2 after multiple tries. I am in absolute shock. It has been a long journey and extremely embarassing and demoralizing that I had to keep re-taking this test. I have my Bachelors and Masters degree and am accomplished in my career so I am not used to failing. I had a lot of other obstacles going on in my life in preparation for this test, so that didn't help either.

A few weeks ago while applying to Fresno Pacifics teacher credential program I was talking to the program director and she mentioned some of her students studying for the Multiple Subjects CSET exams using study dot com courses. The students who used it said that they used this website to study for the exams and passed each section on the first try. I had been studying it too but was weary if it was beneficial or not so I never put any serious work into it. I would go on there watch a few...

Have you tried using this for the CSET?

Hello all,

I just took this exam and I'm both worried and a bit confused. I studied too little/too late and am pretty pessimistic about what my score will be.

But what I came here to ask about was the fact that I didn't receive any kind of score at the test center. I know I have to wait for official scores, and I have to wait for the constructed response section to be graded. Still, I thought there would be something - at least a raw score - for the multiple choice section. So, I ended up...

Hi, Im taking subtest 2 this Saturday and I'm very nervous. Any last advice? I've taken this test before and failed. Scores of 218, 210, 217...ughh.... The science just doesn't stick.. I'm very bad at geometry...

Hi everyone,
I need some help. I just got my results back and failed the CSET MS subtest II with 210. I know that this test has changed and I would like to know what is the difference between the previous format with this new one? I took the old format and felt horrible. I actually did good in the multiple choice part of the test, but horrible in the essay part. English is my second language and I have difficulty finding professional words when taking an exam. Any suggestions? Please help...

Hello,

This is my first time posting. This page seems like a bit of an oasis. I'm really depressed... I've taken the Subtest 3 five times and have failed. I continue to fail in the human development and art appreciation sections. I've studied the Cliff Notes CSET guide until I'm black and blue, stayed up hours, used quizlet on my phone to study throughout the day, but the moment the test comes, NONE of what I read in the book is shown on the test.

Hi,
I passed Subtest I ( second attempt) and III
( first attempt) . I am not sure about how I did in Subtest II because I am not good at Math specially . Any ideas about how do they score when you pass two Subtests already ? Do they give some grace marks in the last test? I remember I wasn't happy with my constructed responses in Math. I am so in anxiety now that what if I couldn't pass this , Have to go all over again and again ...though I am ready to work hard but I don't know this time...

PRAXIS multiple subjects

Hi fellow teachers :)

I just finished the PRAXIS multiple subjects test. I did great on Math (188) and good on Science (171) and reading (170) but I got a 147 on history. A passing score is a 155. How likely is it that when my actual scores come out that I could actually of passed history? I doubt I will make it up enough to pass but I know there is a chance.

History for me was my hardest and I surprised myself with math and science so overall I am happy.

I'm terrible at math and science...I passed my CBEST thanks to my high score in reading/writing (I got a 39 on the CBEST Math...thankfully I scored high enough in the reading/writing my overall score passed me). But with the subtest II...I dont have reading/writing to help me out :( I am just terrified that this test will ruin me. I'm scheduled to take it January 22nd...I figured a month to study will be good (I hope).

I bought the CliffNotes study guide 4th ED (which is the newest), but...

Praxis 5001 Unofficial Scaled Score Question

I just took my Praxis 5001 set of tests and at the end received both raw scores and an unofficial scaled score. My scores seemed good with Literacy- 199 Math- 196 Social Studies- 195 and Science- 199 but when I looked at the raw scores it seems like there is no way they could be that good. I understand that the score is scaled but could they really be that different? For reference, my raw scores were Literacy- 27/33 Math 15/7/11 Social Studies 21/13/11 and Science 15/16/17. I just finished my first semester of the mscp program at a CSU (yay, just 2 more to go!). Through out this semester, I've heard a lot of students and professors briefly mention TPAs. From the sounds of it, it seems like the equivalent of a Thesis that students in the masters program do (is it?). Now, I also heard it's an exam... so I very confused. Students have said it's a 40+ page report (which is why it seems like a Thesis assignment). But online...I've read it's like an exam with scores....

Hello all,
I'm struggling with the math/science portion of the CSET. I will be taking it again for the 4th time on Jan 26th. My previous scores were 208, 217, and 218. I'm not far off but this is definitely frustrating and is pushing my credential program longer. How have you guys studied (what topics, specific order, what to focus on, etc.) and what have you used? (I've looked at teacherstestprep, study, 240tutoring, used TestMaven, etc.) I'm getting really discouraged with myself.

Question about test score that you can immediately see after your test

hey everyone,

I have some qs. I took the Praxis elementary multiple subject exam yesterday and at the very end of report scores I guess I was able to see my scores? I'm wondering if the scores that you see on that computer screen are reasonably accurate. They had an unofficial score for each exam like reading read something like 178 and otherwise. I'm just making sure these are accurate and I'm not getting my hopes up that I passed

hello New on here, but question hoping someone may know answer to. Okay so i have passed two sub tests on the cset multiple subjects, but they will expire soon. Can I retake them before they expire or do I need to wait until they actually expire before I can retake?
